The following instructions are to be used to upgrade the NIC RA-4500A firmware. Please make sure these instructions are exactly followed in sequential order. Please contact AGS Technical Support with any questions or issues at support@agssci.com.
- Please download the software and firmware files using the following link: Click Here for Files
- Extract the files from the downloaded Zip files by double-clicking on the Zip files and save the extracted files to an easy to access folder on the PC that is connected to the analyzer.
- Power on the instrument and open the current software and allow it to enter the READY state as noted in the lower left corner of the software screen.
- Click on “SYSTEM” in the top menu of the software, and then click on “FIRMWARE UPDATE”.
- When the Firmware Update window launches, click the “OPEN” button in the lower left corner, then locate the new firmware file (*.MOT) from step 2 above.
- With the firmware file selected, make sure the “Verify” check box is selected and then click on “PROGRAM”. The firmware will be loaded and installed in the RA-4300A. Do not cancel or power OFF once this process has started.
- If the firmware update initially fails, please click “PROGRAM” again to retry. Please retry up to 3 times, and then if it still will not program, contact us for assistance at support@agssci.com.
- Once the firmware update has completed and finished the verification process, Power OFF the analyzer and then Power it ON again, the power cycling will complete the FW writing step. This completes the update and you may resume using as normal.
9. The PDF file downloaded in Step 2 are the instructions from the manual on how to update the firmware, and include an alternative method by
utilizing Boot Mode should the instructions above not work.
